About the Hub

The Neighbourhood Planning Hub is an online space where people developing a Neighbourhood Plan and engaging in neighbourhood planning can network together, share ideas and gain peer to peer support.

Through our work in supporting groups undertaking neighbourhood planning we have received numerous requests to support and enable networking.

While face to face networking is clearly a good (if not the best option) it is not possible on a continual basis for those developing neighbourhood plans due to their geographical spread and the cost involved.

The aim in developing this Neighbourhood Planning Hub is to provide an online space where those developing  neighbourhood plans can network together and where peer to peer support is encouraged. Specifically, the hub should provide a space where those developing neighbourhood plans can:

  • ask others working on plans questions and queries they have
  • post and share the resources they have developed for themselves (constitutions, terms of reference, project plans etc.) that others may find useful
  • be signposted to resources

In addition the hub should also provide a space for professional policy comment and blogging. A space which is designed to raise the debate and aspirations of engagement in community led planning policy development and the opportunities for implementation of plans.
